Dr. Margaret Melady
About Dr. Margaret Melady
Dr. Margaret Melady has served in both academic and corporate positions. Upon completing a Doctorate in Social Sciences and Communication from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, she taught at several universities and served a six year term as President of the American University in Rome. She also held positions in Corporate Communications and Governmental Affairs and has published books on international affairs and communications, including Ten African Heroes and The Rhetoric of Pope John Paul II.
From 2014 through 2018, Dr. Melady served as President of the Federal Association of the Order of Malta, one of 47 national associations of the Sovereign Order of Malta, a lay religious order of the Catholic Church. In addition to serving as a Trustee of Catholic Distance University, she is a member of the Board of Overseers of the School of Diplomacy at Seton Hall University.
